Guide to H-Removal In D'ni Text

There have been many debates to how "extra" h's should betreated in translations of D'ni script. Some say remove them all;some say remove none; and some have a cross between the two. Inmy opinion, h's should be removed only when writing, no h'sshould be removed from translations (i.e. My dictionaries have none of the extra h's removed.). Here is my personal guide to howh's should be treated when writing. This is completely subjectiveon my part, and based solely on what I think the best method isto alleviate confusion.

1. It is okay toremove the 'h' from the end of 'oh,' 'eh,' 'ih,' and 'uh.'

2. Don't remove the'h' from 'kh' and 'dh,' it is important to keep them there forword meaning purposes. It changes the pronunciation, too: 'dh'sounds like the 'th' at the beginning of 'the' for example.

3. Don't remove the'h' from 'ah,' this helps to distinguish this letter from 'a' inpronunciation.

4. NEVER remove the 'h' from 'ch,' 'sh,' and 'th.' (It's pretty obvious that you aren't supposed to do that, but some people...you never know. I have seen "sem"and "semtee" before, instead of "shem" and"shemtee"...)
